Leica Camera AG (“LEICA”) offers a two-year product warranty for your Leica Watch, valid from the date the watch was purchased from an authorized dealer. The warranty is subject to the terms and conditions listed below.
Your statutory rights vis à-vis the authorized dealer of your Leica Watch remains unaffected by this two-year product warranty.
- The ZM 1 and ZM 2 models come with a 2-year warranty. The customer can extend this warranty by 1 year through online product registration, similar to the process for camera products. This brings the total warranty period to 3 years.
1. Scope of Warranty
1.1 Warranty Coverage
The term of the product warranty (”coverage period”) begins on the date on which you purchase the Leica Watch from an authorized dealer and ends no later than after two years. Within the coverage period, complaints arising from manufacturing and material defects will, at the discretion of LEICA, be rectified free of charge by means of repair, replacement of faulty parts, or exchange for an equivalent product that is free from defects. The product warranty does not grant any further entitlements beyond those stated above, regardless of their nature or legal basis. Replaced parts or products shall become the property of LEICA.
1.2 Restrictions
The product warranty does not cover:
(I) Installation, disassembly, repair, maintenance, or disposal of the Leica Watch;
(II) Leica Watches on which the serial number has been altered, defaced, or removed;
(III) damage that is due to improper handling (e.g. fall/impact, water, dust/sand);
(IV) damage to the Leica Watch that has been caused by accident, misuse, neglect, improper use (including incorrect installation, repair or maintenance work that has not been performed by LEICA or a partner authorized by LEICA), unauthorized modifications, extreme environmental conditions (including extreme temperatures and external moisture), extreme physical or electrical load, fire, force majeure or other external influences;
(V) servicing that is necessary for the purpose of complying with statutory requirements that have only come into effect after the start of the product warranty’s coverage period;
(VI) defects that are attributable to normal use, normal wear and tear or normal aging of the Leica Watch;
(VII) purely cosmetic defects on Leica Watches (particularly scratches, dents and dust);
(VIII) parts subject to wear, unless the damage has been caused by a manufacturing or material defect;
(IX) preventive maintenance work on the Leica Watch.
2. Your obligations
In order to receive the benefits of the product warranty, you agree to provide a copy of the original purchase receipt of the Leica Watch upon request by LEICA.

LEICA’s customer service is always your competent contact for all questions and concerns regarding service, repairs or complaints. Please contact our service team in Wetzlar directly. We recommend having your Leica Watch completely overhauled every four years.
