Leica Camera AG has released new firmware updates for the current models of the Leica M family. Registered camera owners can now download firmware version 2.0.3.0 for the Leica M/M-P (Typ 240), firmware version 1.0.0.6 for the Leica M (Typ 262) and firmware version 1.0.1.0 for the Leica M Monochrom (Typ 246) from the Leica website (www.leica-camera.com) or take their camera to a Leica Store for a free update and receive answers to any questions they may have.
The firmware updates improve working practices with the Leica M cameras and ensure an even more reliable workflow. The update contains numerous improvements based on suggestions and feedback received from Leica M users. These include, for example, improved stability of electronic functions. A further improvement is the support of memory cards with capacities of up to 512 GB. Also new is an error message displayed in the viewfinder when SD cards used for video recording are too slow. In addition to these improvements, the new firmware updates also contain a number of other useful functions that extend the performance profile of the Leica M models.
