Gods and Heroes

Stephen Dupont with the M11-P

I'm searching for something that, really, in photography, captures the essence of what Homer was trying to write about - Gods and Heroes.

Stephen Dupont

Traveling to ancient Greece with his M11-P in hand, multi-award-winning documentary and war photographer, Stephen Dupont, finds himself stepping into a realm where myth and history coalesce.

Footage courtesy of Jacques Menasche - Writer, Director, and Visual Artist.

Journeying through profoundly silent ruins, Dupont feels the whisper of Homer's Epics resonating in the stillness as he ventures into the eternal homeland of Greek mythology. Each photograph is more than just a snapshot – it is a testament to the enduring power and timeless allure of Ancient Greece where Gods and Heroes once walked among mortals, now immortalized in stone.

Stephen Dupont and the M-System

"For me, I've shot Leica M-Cameras my entire life. And that's going from film cameras - the M3, to the M4, to the M6 - and now with digital, I'm using the M11-P and it feels exactly the same as shooting film. And that's what I love. I love the fact that I can pick up this camera and it feels like I'm shooting my old M6. The difference is, it's digital."
