The Leica Camera AG factory in Portugal was established in 1972 and employs a workforce of highly-skilled and experienced personnel. In future, we intend to draw more on their outstanding expertise and knowledge to the benefit of our Leica Sport Optics customers, and have therefore decided to merge the service centres in Portugal and Wetzlar. In this way, we make it possible to offer you an exceptional level of first-class service from one single source
LEITZ Sport Optics
Please note that we have stopped all repairs on LEITZ sport optics products. Due to the age of these models, they have been discontinued and spare parts are no longer available.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause..
Shipping Times
If your repair needs to be carried out at one of our European repair centres, we are required to provide customs documentation, including a commercial invoice, for clearance purposes. As a result, turnaround times for repairs sent to the EU have increased due to the additional customs procedures.
Please note that, following Brexit, repairs sent to our overseas workshops are also subject to customs inspections, which can extend transit times.
If your product cannot be repaired locally, please allow up to three weeks for it to reach the overseas workshop and up to three weeks for its return. Shipping alone can therefore take approximately 4 to 6 weeks. Repair work may then require an additional 1 to 2 weeks in many cases, depending on the nature of the repair.
Please note that these timescales are estimates only. Actual turnaround times may vary and could be longer depending on the product, customs processing, parts availability, and current workshop demand.
