At the heart of the new Leica M11 is a full-frame BSI CMOS sensor with Triple Resolution Technology. Raw image files in DNG format and JPEGs can be recorded at 60, 36 or 18 megapixels, always using the full sensor area.

アイコニックなデザイン
洗練された外観と上質な質感で知られるM型カメラ。操作性を重視し、細部までこだわり抜いてデザインしています。ライカＭ11ブラックは、耐傷性に優れたマットなペイント仕上げを採用しています。また、トップカバーの素材には高品質なアルミニウムを使用し、シルバークロームよりも約20%軽いボディを実現しています。シルバークロームではトップカバーの素材に無垢の真鍮を使用し、クラシックな雰囲気に仕上げています。
新開発の撮像素子
撮像素子には独自に開発した35mmフルサイズ裏面照射型CMOSセンサーを採用。トリプルレゾリューション技術を搭載し、最先端の画像処理技術を結集しています。60MP、36MP、18MPの3つの記録画素数から選び、DNG形式とJPEG形式で画像を記録することが可能で、撮影条件に合わせてフレキシブルに対応できます。また、新たなフィルター技術も採用。定評のあるMレンズの描写力を活かして美しく撮影できます。さらに、レンジファインダーで初めてのマルチ測光を行うことが可能に。信頼性の高いこの測光モードを使えば、露出に手間をかけることなく被写体だけにしっかり集中できます。
画像処理エンジン「LEICA MAESTRO III」
スムーズで即応性に優れた操作をさらにサポートするのが、高性能な画像処理エンジン「LEICA MAESTRO III」。進化したアルゴリズムにより、3つの記録画素数のいずれを選んでも常に撮像素子の全域を使って撮影・記録して、これまで以上に高品質なデジタル画像を生成します。また、DNG形式で記録画素数36MPでは、ほぼ枚数制限なしの連続撮影が可能です。
広い感度域とダイナミックレンジ
さまざまな光の状況に対応して撮影できるのもライカM11の特長のひとつです。例えば、デュアルピクセルゲイン技術の搭載により、ISO 64で15ストップの広いダイナミックレンジを実現。ノイズを最小限に抑えながら細やかに階調を表現して、自然で上品な印象に仕上げることができます。ISO感度は最高50000までの設定が可能で、最高ISO感度では非常に光量が少ないシーンにも対応します。また、最高1/16000秒の高速シャッターを実現した電子シャッターを新たに搭載。非常に明るい状況でも、大口径レンズを活用して撮影を楽しめます。
高精細なタッチパネル液晶モニター
高精細230万画素、高輝度800nit、sRGBカバー率100%の広色域のタッチパネル液晶を搭載。クリアな画面で画像をしっかり確認できます。また、主な機能にダイレクトにアクセスできるステータス表示機能も新たに搭載しました。さらに、トップカバーにはFNボタンを装備。ニーズに合わせてカスタマイズできる性能も向上しています。
接続
「ライカM11」はApple社の認定を受けていることを意味する「Made for iPhone®／iPad®」という製品で、iPhoneやiPadとシームレスにケーブル接続することが可能です。MFi認証ケーブルを使って「ライカM11」とiPhoneを接続すれば、撮影した写真のダウンロードや「Leica FOTOS」アプリでのカメラ操作を素早く行えます。また、Bluetooth®により、「ライカM11」をスマートフォンにワイヤレスで簡単に接続することができます。「Leica FOTOS」アプリでは、ソフトウェアのOTA（Over The Air＝無線通信）アップデート、リモートコントロール、写真の位置情報の記録が可能です。
デュアルメモリー
ライカM11では、ベースプレートのない構造を採用しました。従来とは異なるこの構造により、素早く簡単にバッテリーやSDカードを交換したりUSB Type-Cに接続することが可能になりました。また、SDメモリーカードスロットに加えて64GBの内蔵メモリーも搭載。撮影した画像データをUHS-II対応のSDメモリーカードと内蔵メモリーの両方に同時に記録できます。
大容量のバッテリー
新しいバッテリーは容量が1800mAhで、従来よりも容量が64%アップしています。また、カメラ全体のさらなる低消費電力化も実現。1回の充電でより長時間の撮影ができるようになりました。さらに、USB（Type-C）接続してバッテリーを充電することも可能です。
デジタルズーム
被写体に迫れるデジタルズーム機能を搭載しました。デジタルズームはライブビューモード時に使用可能で、倍率を1.3倍または1.8倍から選択して、DNG形式とJPEG形式で撮影できます。DNG形式では、通常の撮影時と同様に、撮像素子の全域を使って記録された画像データがすべて残されます。
