Leica Camera AG, Wetzlar, is now offering the Leica Monovid 8 × 20 monocular and the Leica Ultravid 8 × 20 Blackline binoculars as special Christmas editions. In addition to the glasses, each set includes an elegant pouch in red leather with a colour-matched leather wrist strap for convenient carrying and safe storage. Each of the Christmas editions of the Leica Monovid 8 × 20 and Leica Ultravid 8 × 20 is strictly limited to 300 sets. The technical specifications of both models are based on existing Leica Sport Optics products.

The Leica Monovid 8 × 20 with 8× magnification is impressive on account of its elegant design and exceptional optical performance. It is robust and its compact size lets it fit comfortably into almost any jacket or trouser pocket. This makes this monocular glass the ideal companion to take with you wherever you go. The close-up lens supplied with the glass allows objects to be viewed at distances of between 25 and 30 cm and is also ideal for reading an opera or theatre programme. The lens is quickly and easily attached by a screw thread and enables the recognition of even the tiniest details. When not in use, the lens can be stowed away safely in a separate compartment of the pouch supplied with the glass.

Like all other binoculars of the Ultravid family, the Leica Ultravid 8 × 20 Blackline compact binoculars with black leather trim are characterised by extreme robustness, unrivalled image brightness and clarity, and sharp rendition of details. With a close focusing distance of only 1.8 metres, they are also ideal for use as an opera glass, in the theatre or at concerts, as even the smallest details can be recognised at relatively short distances. Thanks to their compact dimensions and lightweight construction, the Ultravid 8 × 20 Blackline binoculars can be comfortably used for longer periods without tiring the user.
