About the Workshop
Alan Schaller is globally renowned for his work in black and white photography and is now bringing his expert masterclass to Copenhagen for the first time with the Leica Akademie.
Alan’s photography has found its way to the front covers of magazines, in leading newspapers, used for advertising by luxury brands, and has been exhibited and featured internationally. If you have a passion for black and white, in any genre of photography, this is your chance to learn how to set yours apart.
This comprehensive, three-part workshop will heighten your understanding of black and white photography, both at the time of capture, and when editing. Alan will show you how to coax the maximum tonality from any scene, from portraits with rich tonal depth through to high contrast street scenes.
You will learn directly from Alan's own experience and guidance through a combination of classroom learning and practical shooting sessions out on the street.

About the Photographer
Alan Schaller was born in 1988 in London and took up photography in 2015 as a pastime, only to find his work published only one year later in magazines and newspapers in the UK. Since then his portfolio and profile have gone from strength to strength, and today he is regarded as one of the most renowned photographers of his generation. Described by Leica as "an icon of contemporary black and white photography" and by TeNeues publishing as "setting the standards in modern street photography", his work is known for its strong contrast and focus on shape and form, and focus on life in urban environments.
