In the midst of the pulsating life of the big city in the seventies, Joel Meyerowitz perfected his particular form of street photography. In a fraction of a second, he distilled exciting motifs drawn from the jumble of signs and writings, and from the hustle and bustle of passers-by, who seemed to be performing like extras in a secret play.
