The new Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 70-200 f/2.8 ASPH is a fast telephoto zoom lens with a constant aperture throughout the entire zoom range. This versatile, high-end powerhouse consists of 20 lenses in 15 groups, three with aspherical surfaces, ensuring excellent image quality. Its design and superior image quality make this lens a top choice for portrait, sport, nature, and event photography.
Being the third zoom lens with an aperture of 2.8, the new Vario-Elmarit-SL 70–200 f/2.8 ASPH. forms a powerful trinity series for the Leica SL-System with the Super-Vario-Elmarit-SL 14–24 f/2.8 ASPH. (11194) and the Vario-Elmarit-SL 24–70 f/2.8 ASPH. (11189) This series makes it possible to photograph and film with a continuous aperture over the entire focal length range from 14 mm ultra wide-angle to 200 mm telephoto.
As an additional option, the Leica Extender L 2.0x (16082) extends the focal length of the Vario-Elmarit-SL 70-200 f/2.8 ASPH even further, increasing it to up to 400mm.
