Flavourama x Raphael Mittendorfer

In collaboration with the Flavourama Festival, a masterclass led by Leica Ambassador Raphael Mittendorfer will take place at the Museum der Moderne Salzburg and the Solitär Mozarteum.
The focus will be on the art of capturing movement in dance photography and conveying dynamism, timing, and emotion in a single image.
Participants will gain insights into technical and creative fundamentals such as lighting, perspective, camera settings, and seizing the right moment.
In addition, various photographic fields will be covered, ranging from editorial and studio photography to live performances and battles.
Special emphasis will be placed on developing a personal visual language that balances observation with immediate proximity to the action.
The theoretical introduction is followed by a supervised indoor shoot with professional dancers within the museum’s architecture.
Starting at 6:00 PM, participants will put what they’ve learned into practice by photographing the Flavourama World Finals Preselection at the Solitär Mozarteum.
The masterclass combines theory and practice and teaches how decisive moments can be not only captured but also anticipated.
