From sunrise in the mountains to photographing in a traditional alpine hut and exploring the scenic Lichtensteinklamm, this workshop combines hands-on photography with the natural beauty of the Salzkammergut region. The workshop is led by Fabian Sorger, head of Leica Akademie Österreich, with Tina Neudegger, owner of Hotel Nesslerhof, ensuring a comfortable and well-organized experience.

The Hotel Nesslerhof is a charming 5-star hotel nestled in the picturesque village of Großarl, surrounded by the stunning mountain landscapes of the Salzkammergut. This family-run hotel offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, blending modern comfort with traditional Alpine charm. Participants can enjoy comfortable rooms, an on-site restaurant serving regional cuisine, and a wellness area with saunas and relaxation spaces—perfect for unwinding after photography excursions.

Workshop Content & Schedule

The workshop features a mix of theoretical sessions and practical outdoor exercises. Participants will explore different subjects and lighting conditions, from the soft light of sunrise to the dramatic scenery of the Lichtensteinklamm gorge. There will also be time for individual learning, discussion, and relaxation in the hotel’s wellness area.

Equipment

During the workshop, participants will have free access to all Leica camera systems, allowing them to experiment with different cameras and lenses.
