The introduction of the Leica I opened a new chapter in the history of photography. However, behind this milestone are visionary individuals like Ernst Leitz II and Oskar Barnack, as well as generations of employees who have made Leica a globally recognized brand. The exhibition offers fascinating insights into the history of the Leica manufacture. Photographs from the historical production sites in Wetzlar, through the intermediate station in Solms, the factory in Portugal, up to the state-of-the-art Leitz-Park, document the impressive craftsmanship and innovation that have always distinguished Leica.
