I’m Apisak Kanjanapusit and I live in the Phetchaburi province, in the south of Thailand.

I'm passionate about photography, travelling, and I have a deep appreciation for capturing beautiful and breathtaking natural landscapes, local culture, and the ways in which people live.

Travelling is like opening a window to the world; it expands my perspectives and brings me new thoughts and ideas. Seeing the vastness of nature pushes me to diminish my ego. What's most important is that it inspires me to live my life with purpose, balancing my emotions and thoughts in this chaotic world.

I enjoy capturing the grandeur of nature through photography. I seek opportunities once or twice a year to explore outstanding landscapes, capturing special moments and sharing them with the world. These little things help me heal, feel proud, and earn happiness.

In March 2019, I travelled with a group of friends to the southwest of America for a road trip in Arizona focusing on visits to national parks with dramatic and unparalleled landscapes. Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park was one of the places I visited, and it reminded me of scenes from the film Mackenna's Gold

We stayed overnight on Hunts Mesa in Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. A local guide took us along a bumpy dirt road, riding in a 4-wheel drive vehicle on what was an epic journey. Early in the morning, our Navajo guide led us to the spot where this picture was taken. Initially, I could see nothing but mist blanketing the whole area in front of me. I understood that capturing this beauty required being at the right location at the right time and being patient.

Luckily, nature rewarded our patience with a unique moment that we were able to capture. Every time I look at these images, they remind me of happy moments spent chatting with friends while waiting for this magical moment.

I'm passionate about and have always been amazed by my photographic journey with Leica cameras. I have a deep appreciation for the art and craftsmanship of these cameras, as well as their ability to capture stunning images. My enthusiasm for the Leica M is evident, but I also enjoy exploring different Leica models and lenses, each contributing to my unique style.

The Leica M240 was my first 'Red Dot' Leica, and I found it unparalleled. Since then, combining the Leica M with the mirrorless Leica SL has enhanced my results remarkably. Owning various Leica bodies and lenses has shaped my photography character, and I’m delighted with them all. I use the Leica SL, SL2, M-P 240 Safari, M10-P Safari, M9-P, M3, MP anthracite, and M2-R. My lens collection includes the Noctilux-M 50 f/0.95 ASPH,. Summilux-M 35 f/1.4 ASPH., APO-Summicron-M 90 f/2 ASPH., Summilux-R 80 f/1.4 ASPH., Apo-Extender-R 2x, and the Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70 f/2.8 ASPH.

It's fantastic that I've found a community of friends who share a common interest in Leica cameras, providing a space for learning, sharing stories, and connecting with like-minded individuals. I have a strong connection with Leica cameras and have truly found joy in using them to capture special moments.

When I'm not travelling, I take the opportunity to join my Leica photography group on weekends to capture themed and portrait photos in a studio.

For me, the joy of photography lies in the memories it preserves, both within the captured image and the stories behind it. It's about shared experiences with friends, finding enjoyment in journeys, the emotions, and the ambiance. Photography allows me to recognise happiness and remarkable moments through the photos I take.

In addition to capturing landscapes, I also enjoy photographing portraits, local life, and cultural experiences during my travels. This additional image depicts Den, a Muslim fisherman from Southern Thailand, who is an expert at knotting nets.

Photographing these aspects of local life allows me to cherish and share unforgettable moments and connect with people along my journey.

My photos not only showcase the beauty of the places I visit but also record the unique stories and traditions that may fade with time.
