Leica Women Foto Project Festival

Leica Women Foto Project x Women Street Photographers Festival

The Leica Women Foto Project festival in collaboration with Women Street Photographers is a three-day event taking place from April 12-14, 2024 at the Artspace PS109 on 215 E99th Street, NYC. The festival will kick off with an opening reception featuring two exhibitions curated by Gulnara Lyabib Samoilova, founder of Women Street Photographers. The exhibition will showcase the works of 70 female street photographers, and the works of WSP Artist Residency winner Debrani Das.

The festival is designed to offer a unique opportunity for attendees to meet new friends, socialize, and learn, all while exploring their passion for photography. The event will feature panel discussions, a seminar, presentations, book signings, Leica loan, and photo walks with industry leaders, providing attendees with a unique learning experience.

Women Street Photographers is an online and in-person community that supports and amplifies the work of women artists from all races, ethnicities, creeds, generations, abilities, sexual and gender identities around the world today. The community aims to expand commonly held notions of street photography by adopting an inclusive, expansive, non-traditional approach, providing platforms to showcase the work of both amateur and professional photographers.
