Leica Camera AG is continuously developing its Leica Smart Projection division, centred on the Leica Cine 1 and Leica Cine Play 1 products, offering cutting-edge home cinema solutions in partnership with well-known furniture brands. Today, the company is unveiling its collaboration with the German furniture maker YOMEI. The Lumina sideboard by YOMEI is an elegant furnishing solution for the Leica Cine 1, beautifully showcasing the Leica laser TV while making a sophisticated statement in any living space.

The Lumina sideboard – available as a low or tall unit – reimagines contemporary interiors and moves beyond the conventional television aesthetic. In contrast to the dark screen that tends to dominate the space when the television is switched off, the sideboard stands out with its refined design. Built into the unit is the ultra-short-throw laser TV Leica Cine 1, which, in combination with the hidden screen, instantly transforms the space into an immersive viewing environment with a single touch of a button. While the technology is not being used, the furniture captivates with its exquisite aesthetics, seamlessly integrating the Leica Cine 1 with its aluminium housing and signature Leica design.

The surface of the sideboard is finished in premium YOMEI leather or cutting-edge leather/microfibre leather, fashioned using a patented folding technique. The gently curved front and the meticulously crafted flap, which conceals the screen, draw inspiration from the award-winning YOMEI Magic Desk – combining well-developed design with advanced technology. The frame and sides are constructed from high-quality, powder-coated metal, highlighting the furniture’s precision and durability.

Alongside its stylish aesthetic, the Leica Cine 1 stands out thanks to its advanced triple RGB laser technology, delivering exceptionally bright and vibrant visuals. The Summicron lens, which was developed according to the legendary Leica Standards, ensures unparalleled optical performance. The advanced technology is complemented by Leica Image Optimization (LIO™), which ensures superior colour accuracy, contrast and image sharpness. Together with Atmos® surround sound, it creates a truly authentic cinematic atmosphere. Its smart TV features allow for seamless connection with streaming platforms, voice control and Apple AirPlay to enable a fully integrated entertainment experience.

The YOMEI Lumina sideboard is available now and can be purchased from specialist retailers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Later this year, the furniture piece is expected to be released in additional European markets, as well as in China and, quite likely, the United Arab Emirates. It is also available directly from YOMEI upon request. The sideboard comes in two different heights (as a low or tall unit) and with two options for screen sizes. The 100-inch version (excluding the screen) is priced at either 9,840 or 9,960 euros, depending on the chosen height. The 120-inch variant (also without a screen) is available for 10,840 or 10,960 euros. The YOMEI Lumina Sideboard can be purchased in combination with the Celexon screen, while the Leica Cine 1 is sold separately via authorised Leica retailers.
