Leica Camera Japan Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the Alwin Maigler photo exhibition, NOCTURNE,  by the  German photographer Alwin Maigler, to be held at the Leica Gallery Omotesando. 

NOCTURNE is the latest series by Maigler, who has been capturing the Stuttgart Ballet since 2020. The series was created with the understanding that "leaves creative space for chance and improvisation," and it was brought to completion through a direct and congenial collaboration between the photographer and dancers. The exhibition features 15 carefully selected snapshots from a series capturing the dancers drawn out of the theatre and into the streets at night, dancing and playing on their urban stage. The works on display are created using the precise carbon print method, a classical technique, and each piece is hand-crafted, making it a unique work of art.

Studied communication design at the esteemed state academy of fine arts Stuttgart and recipient of various scholarships.
