"Odyssey" Exhibition
February 28 - April 8, 2019
Photographer Michael Muller has packed several lifetimes worth of adventure into a mere four decades of life. Raised in Northern California, he spent much of his childhood in Saudi Arabia, where his father, an amateur photographer, oversaw the building of the port city of Jubail. Find inspiration as you explore Muller's visual journey at Leica Gallery Los Angeles in his new exhibition "Odyssey", beginning on February 28. The exhibition will be on view until April 8, 2019.
"An Odyssey is a diverse collection of images that spans my 33 years as a photographer. I have never painted myself into a corner by shooting a certain way or specializing in a particular subject. I prefer to document as much of LIFE as I can. From up in the AIR, to under the SEA, around the world and across all demographics, An Odyssey is a visual slice of my LIFE." - Michael Muller
In his mid-teens and 50 countries later, he began taking photos of professional snowboarding, a passion that quickly became a profession. By 22, Muller had established himself as a leading entertainment and fashion photographer. His celebrity portraits of Joaquin Phoenix, Brad Pitt, Jeff Bridges, Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson and hundreds of others have graced the pages and covers of magazines including Vanity Fair, Elle, Rolling Stone, Harper‘s Bazaar, Flaunt, Filter, Esquire, Interview, and the New York Times Magazine.
