The Macro-Elmar-M 90 f/4 is a particularly compact telephoto lens with macro capability, designed to bring unparalleled precision and versatility to the Leica M-System. It is made of four lens elements arranged in four groups. The lens impresses with its remarkable sharpness, high contrast and the natural look of its bokeh. The close focus distance is only 77 cm, which can be shorted to just 41 cm with the optional Leica Macro-Adapter-M. This facilitates extreme close-ups with a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:2.

The Macro-Adapter-M
The Macro-Adapter-M is also compatible with other M-Lenses. It offers Leica M photographers an even wider range of opportunities for creative composition and greater variety in reportage portfolios. With Leica lenses from 50 mm and longer, it enables macro photography up to a reproduction ratio of 1:2 and, with wide-angle lenses, even larger ratios are possible.
