The compact design makes the Leica APO-Televid 65 ideal for long and demanding hikes in the mountains, or for professional expeditions under any conditions. The sturdy magnesium body with rubber armoring means the spotting scope is resistant to shocks. Long observations are possible in a relaxed position, without fatigue, thanks to the angled view, and the Leica eyepiece 25x  50x WW ASPH. is suitable for the most demanding applications. The optional neoprene ever-ready case fits the contours of the spotting scope and guarantees optimum protection and handling.

Optimum image quality

High-quality special glass, finest lens processing, and multi-layer coating – including water- and dirt-repellent AquaDura® – create a captivating image. Added to this is the mechanical precision, adjusted to extreme accuracy during manufacturing. All this ensures that image contrast and resolution are at the level that professionals expect. With edge-to-edge sharpness, and almost unbelievably lifelike color, the finest nuances become visible. The integrated lens hood further enhances image quality. When using the Leica extender 1.8x, the outstanding image quality is maintained. The right eyepiece is crucial for image quality. The Leica APO-Televid 65 is offered in a set with the Leica eyepiece 25x – 50x WW ASPH. This eyepiece is perfectly matched to the optics of the Leica APO-Televid 65 and ensures maximum imaging quality and high flexibility in magnification. The wide-angle eyepiece offers a large field of view, covering the universal zoom range for all applications. Mounting is quick and easy, thanks to the bayonet mount.

Rapid special focusing

Dual focusing allows the Leica APO-Televid 65 to be adjusted in next to no time. Two easy-grip rollers are located on the top of the scope. With the fingertips, it’s easy to make the approximate adjustment directly followed by the fine tuning. The interior construction is Leica-specific and very fast and smooth. This makes it possible to focus, for example, on the smallest parts of a bird’s body at great distances. The Leica APO-Televid 65 focusing system has long been considered legendary in expert circles.

Digiscoping with Leica digital cameras

Leica is the only manufacturer of premium spotting scopes to offer its own digital cameras that can be adapted with the appropriate Leica accessories. Numerous solutions for different camera systems are available. The high-performance Leica Q2 camera is very convenient, and its autofocus works precisely in conjunction with the spotting scope. When used manually, the Leica APO-Televid 65 with dual focusing can be easily adjusted via the camera display. If the camera is mounted on the eyepiece, the rotating tripod mount on the Leica APO-Televid 65 makes it easy to switch between portrait and landscape formats.
