The English singer-songwriter pursues his passion – both in front of and behind the camera
To mark the 100-year anniversary of the Leica I, Leica Gallery Wetzlar is presenting a very personal photo exhibition by English musician and Leica photographer Jamie Cullum.
Cullum’s name is not only synonymous with jazz, he has also dedicated himself to photography alongside his passion for music. We already introduced him as a Leica Ambassador at the photokina in 2014. Now we are looking forward to showing his very personal selection of colour and black-and-white photographs at the Leica Gallery Wetzlar from 29 June to 21 September 2025.

These Are the Days
Under the title These Are the Days, Cullum tells the story of his life on tour in the form of a visual diary. With quiet still lifes, landscape shots of unique locations, portraits of fellow musicians, friends, chance acquaintances and of himself, he offers a very personal behind-the-scenes look at his life. With an eye for detail, Cullum also documents many new experiences, situations and impressions he encounters on his travels. The exhibition titled These Are the Days is a nod to his most popular song – and fittingly unites both of his talents.
I think a picture makes a lasting impression when you capture a moment that shows how bizarre and unbelievable the world is.
Jamie Cullum
With his Leica camera, he takes colour and black-and-white pictures that set him far apart from the field of amateur photography. His camera has increasingly become a creative means for enabling him to engage with his surroundings more deeply.

About Jamie Cullum
Born in Essex in 1979, Jamie Cullum discovered his passion for music early on. He played at bars and clubs to pay for his literature and film studies. In doing so, he laid the foundation for his future international career. His first album was released in 1999, and his second followed in 2001 after he graduated. In 2003, he received the British Jazz “Rising Star” award. Cullum’s creative versatility is not only mirrored in his genre-spanning music but also in his photography.

The exhibition was realised with the kind support of WhiteWall.
