Leica Gallery Vienna
With the Leica Gallery Vienna, the Austrian capital has now had a new meeting point for photo enthusiasts in a prime city centre location since autumn 2012. The gallery exhibits pictures captured by international photographers with Leica cameras and lenses or award-winning photography from Leica cultural projects. Here, the Galerie and Store concept combines technology and art in a rather special way. The Leica Galerie is situated on the first floor and features regularly changing photographic exhibitions.
In Conversation. Barbara Klemm and Lena Mucha
The exhibition “In Dialogue: Barbara Klemm and Lena Mucha” is part of an international exhibition series marking the 100th anniversary of the Leica I, which brings together outstanding photographic works from the past and present in twelve Leica galleries worldwide.
The exhibition in Vienna places the works of the two selected photographers in an exciting dialogue about the role of photography as a testimony to contemporary history. As the staff photographer for the FAZ, Barbara Klemm (born 1939) has documented the political events of recent decades with her camera like few others. Lena Mucha (born 1983) is a freelance photojournalist and reports on social and political issues for the New York Times, among others.
EXHIBITION DATES: December 5, 2025, to February 7, 2026
