Current Exhibition: "Between Color and Black and White" - Werner Bischof
Werner Bischof (1916–1954) is one of the most significant photographers of the 20th century. As a member of the renowned photo agency Magnum, he gained recognition primarily for his impressive black and white images, in which he masterfully captured moods and portrayed his subjects with a silent dignity. Bischof began exploring color photography early on. Starting in 1938, he created his first colored works, many of them using the sophisticated Devin Tri-Color Camera.
