Precise Leica Rangefinding Meets the World-Leading Ballistic Expertise of Applied Ballistics®
Since January 2022, Leica Camera AG and Applied Ballistics® have combined their expertise to provide precise, high-performance solutions for those hunting or shooting at long range. Leica rangefinders deliver exact distance measurements and capture relevant environmental data such as air pressure, temperature and angle of inclination. Applied Ballistics® software processes this information in real time to provide precise ballistic output values. With Applied Ballistics® Professional and integrated Shot Probability Analysis (SPA), the Leica Geovid Max and Leica Rangemaster CRF Max represent the highest performance level within Leica ballistic solutions.
The Leica Geovid Pro models and the Rangemaster CRF Pro also benefit from the joint technology: Applied Ballistics Ultralight™ is preinstalled as standard and provides ballistic output values up to 800 meters (875 yards). A simple upgrade to Applied Ballistics Elite® extends the calculation range, depending on the measuring range of the respective model, to up to 2,950 meters. For even more comprehensive calculations, Applied Ballistics Elite® takes additional parameters into account, including the Coriolis effect, Spin Drift, AB Custom Drag Models and Sight Scale Factor. Additional individual profiles and further functions are also available.
