  • Product description
  • This unique box includes 10 prints from the book James´ House For this unique collection set, Meersbookbindings made a handmade clamshell box, opening on the left side, where you can slide each print on. The prints measure 8x8 inches (20,32 x 20,32 cm) , image size is 7 x 4,5 inches (17,78 x 11,85 cm) On the cover, an engraved picture is glued, and printed on fine art baryta paper - each box has a different cover image. The set is in an edition of 10 + 2 ap. Each print is signed and numbered. The box comes with the Greenlandic/English edition of the book. “James’ House” is Jacob Aue Sobol’s second book in “The Green- land Trilogy”. Like his first book “Sabine” from 2004, “James’ House” is a love story too. It’s about the photographer’s love and admiration for an Inuit man and his continuous fight to provide for his family. Jacob Aue Sobol spent many years in Easter Greenland, where he befriended James and his family. James’ house seemed to him like the centre of the universe: a home full of laughter, cry- ing and silence. A place of warmth and embrace. Today James doesn’t live in the house anymore. James’ wife passed away and he moved with his children to the nearest town.
