Joint Exhibition by Terje Abusdal and Sara Meneses Cuapio
The Leica Gallery Paris is pleased to present a joint exhibition bringing together the work of Terje Abusdal and Sara Meneses Cuapio, two photographers whose distinctive visual worlds explore the profound connections between landscape, memory, and identity.
Leica Oskar Barnack Award winner Terje Abusdal presents a selection from his long term project Slash & Burn, an ongoing body of work that examines the landscapes, traditions, and narratives shaping local communities.
Alongside him, Sara Meneses Cuapio presents Raízhambre, a series shortlisted for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award 2024. Inspired by her family roots, Nahua culture, and the lands of her ancestors, her powerful images evoke the aesthetic of Baroque painting through a subtle interplay of light and shadow.
Together, these two artistic perspectives invite visitors on a deeply evocative journey, where photography becomes a language of memory, landscape, and cultural transmission.
