The shooting range of JV Hubertus Giessen offers ideal conditions for conveying essential knowledge in both theory and practice. As part of the Leica Hunting Experience Events, this seminar lays the foundation for understanding the technical principles of riflescopes and applying them directly in a practical setting.
The Giessen Shooting Range

- Facility: 100 m shooting range
The facility enables controlled training under reproducible conditions, providing the basis for precise analysis, clean shot groupings, and well-founded decisions.
Seminar Content
In this seminar, participants receive the theoretical and practical fundamentals required to safely zero their own rifle. The program includes:
- Introduction to the design and technology of riflescopes
- Introduction to the basic principles of ballistics
- Practical zeroing of your own rifle at 100 m
- Tips & tricks for improved results
Theory and practice are closely linked, allowing participants to immediately apply the knowledge gained in theory during the practical session.
The event will take place in German.
Conditions of Participation & Data Privacy
The seminar is run by Leica Camera AG.
Conditions of participation:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid hunting license
- Your own rifle and approximately 60 rounds of ammunition (rental rifles are available upon request).
- Active hearing protection
The seminar fee includes:
- Use of the shooting range
- Targets
- Refreshments
- Expert support from a Leica trainer

Bjoern Friedrich, sport optics trainer at Leica Camera AG since 2018, has many years of experience in education, international sales, as well as military and sport shooting. He teaches complex topics related to long-range shooting and sport optics – in a practical, precise, and differentiated way.
