As part of Leica Galleries' 50th anniversary worldwide, the Leica Gallery Sydney is proud to present Todd Hido (US) who will be introducing an exhibition of his retrospective works in person.

Known for his evocative images of American landscapes, suburban architecture, interiors and nocturnal scenes, Hido has fostered a visual language that sits between documentary photography, cinema and memory. His photographs often transform seemingly ordinary places into atmospheric, psychologically charged scenes exploring themes of isolation, longing, place and the passage of time.

The exhibition draws from Hido’s influential career, bringing together key bodies of work and offering Australian audiences an opportunity to experience the breadth and evolution of his practice.

From enigmatic roadside landscapes and suburban houses to cinematic interiors and richly atmospheric night scenes, the exhibition demonstrates Hido’s enduring ability to find mystery and narrative in everyday environments.
