Aerial Photography is something I've just become addicted to really.
My first time in Martinique I donned my scuba gear and set about exploring the sea life and coral reefs.
The fluorescent colours that were mirrored above sea level by the incredible mix of French Caribbean culture was something that caught my eye and having the opportunity to fly around the whole coast of Martinique with the SL2 was something I simply could not resist.
I need a camera that is solid and robust.
Flying around in small planes and helicopters and travelling to remote airfields, I need a camera that is solid and robust. The SL2 is exactly that, the delicacies of an incredible camera, packaged perfectly in its armour plating.
I can't ever seem to predict the weather for my shoots, but it's beyond comforting to know that if the heavens open and I once again, get soaked whilst hanging out of the open door of a helicopter that my camera system is not going to falter.
The quality of the image is the best I have come across.
The quality of the image and detail in the dynamic range is the best I have come across. It gives me room to keep shooting at quicker shutter speeds, which are paramount in my area of photography but with the knowledge that the sensor is still picking up all that detail in the shadows.
Leica SL2 It’s your choice.
The SL2 is, next to the Leica M, the only mirrorless full format system camera designed and crafted in Germany, and is a technical marvel of pure performance and unmatched build quality. The Leica SL2 is the natural evolution of the innovative Leica SL, serving as a groundbreaking embrace of the future of digital photography and videography.
