Recovering from a stroke, chinese artist and calligrapher Zhu Jingyi captured the form of ink in water with the Leica Q2 Monochrom. To him the freest, purest form of black and white.

During his slow and painful recovery, Zhu Jingyi found artistic creation to be his solace and salvation. The experience inspired him to get rid of the excess and only focus on the essential, in art as well as in life. Using a Leica Q2 Monochrom in place of his paintbrush, he explores the world in monochrome.

When the ink slowly spreads out in the water, it's like the finest muslin with layers upon layers spiraling, evolving those nuanced lines are perfectly represented by the Q2 Monochrom.
