Patrick Zachmann, the renowned photographer who has been traveling around for over 40 years, always has his eyes on religious, ethnic and social topics. He has spent over 30 years portraying Chinese people all over the world, some works from which are now proudly exhibited in Leica Gallery Taipei. The photos have witnessed different eras along the changes of China: early booming of Chinese movies in 1980s; the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989, and modern night lives since the 1990s. The title of this exhibition is from Zachmann’s own book published in 1995, referring to his own perspective with a touch of humor. Mr. Zachmann is also giving a masterclass after the opening of the exhibition at the House of Leica in Taipei.
