The Q has a 24 MP, full-­frame CMOS sensor, which allows it to shoot with a super-shallow depth of field and can capture a much wider range of colours than traditional digital cameras. 

Unlike other DSLRs, the Q is mirrorless. When releasing the shutter, the camera doesn't shake to the mirror retracting, which allows for less vibration when the shutter speed is slow. Not having a mirror also allows the lens to sit closer to the actual sensor, allowing more detail and quality to be retained in the image.

The Q weighs 690g with strap and battery, making it lightweight enough to hold single-handed.
